STR 2022 Call for Abstracts and Clinical Conundrums

On behalf of the Society, we invite you to submit your original cardiothoracic imaging scientific abstracts and educational exhibit proposals for our 2022 annual meeting.

Thoracic Imaging 2022
Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course
Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino
Las Vegas, Nevada
March 19-23, 2022

Scientific and Educational Abstracts:  Scientific abstracts may be submitted for consideration in either an oral presentation or electronic poster format. Scientific abstracts will be scored on the basis of scientific merit. Educational abstracts for electronic poster presentation will be scored on the basis of teaching value.

Wellness Vignettes: This session will focus on how Cardiothoracic Imaging sections and Radiology departments have addressed wellness, in the time of COVID. Our goal is to share initiatives and ideas that have raised awareness and influenced change. Vignettes may include those that dealt with the pandemic and those that were unrelated. We would like to encourage submission of changes that were successful and those that were not. The goal is to inspire dialog and thought based on wellness and resiliency. These presentations will be 5-minute oral presentations. Submit these through the abstract process and select the topic “Wellness Vignette.”

Clinical Conundrums: This will again be a light-hearted case-based session where we can let down our guard and share cases with only meeting attendees that highlight lessons learned. Our goal is to emphasize cases that did not go as well as intended, and thereby, taught us something in the process. We would like to focus on cases that introduce lessons learned rather than un-gettable fascinomas. Please submit these cases through the abstract process and select the topic “Cases for Cardiothoracic Conundrums Sessions."  Presentations are intended to be short with a maximum length of 5 minutes. If you want to speak at the meeting, this is your chance. Entertainment value is a definite plus, and a prize will be awarded—but of course in this endeavor everyone is a winner! Please submit your entries using this link below (selected cases notified by mid-January).

Priority will be given to original work that has not been presented elsewhere.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday, October 15, 2021
